If you have prediabetes or other risk factors for type 2 diabetes, it's time to take charge of your health. The PreventT2 lifestyle change program can help you make lasting changes to prevent type 2 diabetes.

WHAT IS IT?

Prevent T2 Program is a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-recognized lifestyle change program that is proven to prevent or delay type 2 diabetes.

WHO SHOULD REGISTER?

People with prediabetes or other risk factors for type 2 diabetes. Risk factors include:

  • 45 years of age or older
  • Overweight
  • Family history of type 2 diabetes
  • Physically active fewer than 3 times per week
  • History of diabetes while pregnant (gestational diabetes) or have given birth to a baby that weighed more than nine pounds

Free sessions at two Prince George's County Health Department locations. Choose the location convenient for you and register for the PREVENT T2 program.
