Samuel B. Moki, Ph.D
Director
Dr. Samuel Belsham Moki was confirmed by a super majority as Director of the Department of the Environment on October 21, 2025. He holds a law degree, two master's degrees in criminal justice and environmental management, and a Ph.D. in political science with a minor in public administration from Howard University in Washington, D.C. He has taught and continues to teach as an adjunct at several universities in the Washington, D.C. area at both the undergraduate and graduate levels for over 22 years.
