Who Can Request a Copy
You may obtain a Maryland Death Certificate if you are:
- A funeral director
- A surviving relative of the deceased Â
- A beneficiary of the deceased
- An authorized representative of the deceased
Fee
There is a $25 fee for the first certified death certificate and $20 for each additional certificate purchased on the same day. Cash, check, money orders, and credit or debit cards (Visa, Discover, MasterCard) are accepted as payment.
- A $2.50 service fee applies to credit/debit card transactions.
- Check or money order should be made payable to Prince George’s County Health Department
