Prince George's County Vital Records
The Prince George's County Health Department provides an appointment-only service. We issue birth certificates for anyone born in the State of Maryland AFTER 1939 and death certificates for individuals who died in the State of Maryland AFTER 2015.
Maryland Department of Health Vital Statistics Administration
Individuals born in 1939 or BEFORE or those who died prior to 2015, should contact the Maryland Department of Health's Vital Statistics Administration at 410-764-3038.
Appointments & Hours of Operation
Prince George's County Vital Records office will be by appointment only during these hours.
- Mondays - 8:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Tuesdays - 8:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Wednesdays CLOSED
- Thursdays - 8:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Fridays- 8:00 am to 3:30 pm
**Our office is closed daily for lunch from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm **

Prince George's County Vital Records issues birth certificates for anyone born in the State of Maryland AFTER 1939.
Death Certificates
Prince George's County Vital Records issues death certificates for individuals who died in the State of Maryland AFTER 2015.
Fees & Rates
Birth Certificates
- $25.00 per copy
Death Certificates
- $25.00 for the first copy
- $20.00 each for an additional copy of the same certificate

Acceptable forms of payment are cash or credit cards (Visa, Discover, and Mastercard).
