Solar Automated Permit Processing Plus (SolarAPP+)
What is SolarAPP+?
SolarAPP+ (Solar Automated Permit Processing Plus) is an automated online permitting platform that allows licensed contractors to apply for permits for standard residential rooftop solar and energy storage systems. The platform automates the solar plan review while performing comprehensive code-compliance checks to ensure adherence to the ICC-2021 Code, PG County Building Amendments Subtitle 4, and local regulations.

How to apply using SolarAPP+
Step 1: Submit for Automated Review Through SolarAPP+
- Submit Solar/Photovoltaic design at SolarAPP+.
- Click Sign In or Register to get started.
- Once you have registered, you will need to upload a copy of your license for SolarAPP+ to review.
- Once the license has been verified, you will be given access to the application for Prince George's County.
- A processing fee will be charged by SolarAPP+ for plan review.
- An Inspection Checklist and a SolarAPP+ ID will be generated when approved.
Step 2: Apply for a Permit
- Log in or create an account in Momentum
- Go to Apply Here and select SolarApp+ Application
- Select the address for the project and complete all required fields on the application, including the full SolarApp+ Approval ID.
- Upload all relevant documents to Momentum. Approved Documents from SolarApp+ will be transferred to Momentum automatically.
- Once you submit, permit fees will be assessed per the DPIE Fee Schedule
- Once all fees are paid, the permit will be issued in Momentum
Step 3: Schedule Your Inspection
- Once the permit is issued, follow the instructions in Momentum to schedule inspections
