Largo, MD - As Prince George's County resumes its waste and recycling collection services on a two-day slide schedule this week, residents are advised of an update to the collection schedule.

The County will now collect regularly scheduled Friday collections on Saturday, January 31.

Residents receiving County-contracted waste and recycling collection services are reminded to place carts and bulky items in a safe, easily accessible location, free of ice and snow, for haulers to access and to ensure items are not placed in the street or extending into roadways.

Residents who live in municipalities or receive service from private waste haulers should contact their respective offices directly for collection guidance.

Please note: Once waste collections resume, the schedule is subject to change, and collections may be delayed or suspended in specific areas of the County due to road or weather conditions to protect the safety of residents and crews. The County appreciates residents' understanding and patience during these circumstances.

For the latest service updates and alerts, residents are encouraged to visit mypgc.us and sign up for Alert Prince George’s at alert.mypgc.us. Missed collections may be reported by contacting PGC311 between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or online at PGC311.com.
