LARGO, MD – Prince George's County will resume its regularly scheduled waste and recycling collection schedule beginning the week of Monday, February 2, 2026.

Regular collections will resume as follows:

Prince George’s County Regular Waste and Recycling Collections Schedule

  • Monday Organics Collections
Food scraps and yard trim collection will resume Monday, February 2, and will occur every Monday unless other noted.
  • Regular Trash and Recycling Collection
Regular trash and recycling collections, including all bulky trash and bagged items, resume Tuesday, February 3, through Friday, February 6, and continue the regular schedule unless otherwise noted.

Residents who receive County-contracted waste and recycling collection service are advised that some areas may still require additional roadway clearance to allow safe access for collection crews and haulers. In these cases, residents may place their carts and bulky items at the nearest cleared curb on their street or at the end of their street to ensure safe and efficient collection.

The County appreciates residents' understanding and patience as crews continue operations following recent weather conditions.

If you reside in a municipality or receive service from private waste haulers, you should contact your respective offices directly for guidance on winter weather collection tips and schedules.

For the latest service updates and alerts, residents are encouraged to visit mypgc.us and sign up for Alert Prince George's at alert.mypgc.us to receive weather and emergency notifications by text, phone, or email.

To report a missed collection, contact PGC311 between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or submit a request online at PGC311.com.
