LARGO, MD – The Prince George's County Department of the Environment (DoE) Animal Services Division (ASD) has relaunched its Free Spay & Neuter Program for eligible county residents. The program offers qualifying pet owners’ access to spay and neuter services while funding and appointments remain available.

Spaying and neutering are essential procedures that safeguard your pet's health, curb the number of stray animals, and support a more compassionate community. By making these services readily available, the program helps ensure that financial barriers don't stand in the way of responsible pet care. To qualify, residents must provide proof of Prince George's County residency and complete the application process, while funding lasts.

"Every initiative we undertake at DoE is driven by our unwavering support for our residents in Prince George's County," said Director Samuel B. Moki, PhD. "The free spay and neuter program stands as a powerful example of our promise to deliver meaningful resources, encourage responsible pet care, and build a healthier, more environmentally friendly community for everyone."

"We are proud to offer this free spay and neuter program as part of our commitment to the health and welfare of all animals in Prince George's County," said David Fisher, Associate Director for ASD. "By making these vital services accessible, we enable residents to give their pets the essential care they need for a healthier, happier life.

  • FREE spay-and-neuter services for qualifying Prince George's County residents.
