Prince George's County Announces Holiday Closings for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
LARGO, MD – The Prince George's County Department of the Environment (DoE) announces that all yard trim, food scraps, trash, and recycling collections will move one day throughout the week. In addition, the following services and facilities will be closed or suspended on Monday, January 19, 2026:

TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Prince George's County Department of Public Works and Transportation, will operate a regular schedule on Monday, January 19, 2026, except for Route P78 service to the Equestrian Center/Courthouse. Regular operations of Route P78 will resume on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. In addition, the County's Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services will not operate on Monday, January 19, 2026. Regular operations of the Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services will resume on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
The Prince George's County Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
Additionally, PGC311 will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026, and will resume regular operations on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at PGC311.com.
