Prince George’s County Announces Closings for Juneteenth Holiday

LARGO, MD – The following Department of the Environment (DoE) offices, services, and facilities will be closed or suspended on Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.

Residential Food Scraps and Yard Trim Collections Regular collections occur on Monday, June 15.

TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Prince George's County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T), will operate as scheduled on Friday, June 19, except for Route P78 service to the Equestrian Center/Courthouse. Regular operations of Route P78 will resume on Monday, June 22, 2026. Regular operations of the County's Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services, including dialysis transportation, will not operate on Friday, June 19, 2026. Regular operations of the Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services will resume on Monday, June 22, 2026. 

The Prince George's County Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026. Regular business hours will resume on Monday, June 22, 2026.

Also, PGC311 will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026, and will resume regular operations on Monday, June 22, 2026, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at PGC311.com
