Prince George's County Announces Holiday Closings for Presidents' Day

LARGO, MD—The Prince George's County Department of the Environment (DoE) announces that the following services and facilities will be closed or suspended on Monday, February 16, 2026

Curbside Trash Collection in County-Contracted Areas Regular collections occur Tuesday, February 17, through Friday, February 20 
Residential Food Scraps and Yard Trim Collections Regular collections occur on Monday, February 16

TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Prince George's County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T), will operate on a regular schedule on Monday, February 16, 2025, except for Route P78 service to the Equestrian Center/Courthouse. Regular operations of Route P78 will resume on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. In addition, the County's Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services will not operate on Monday, February 16, 2026. Regular operations of the Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services will resume on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

The Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

Also, PGC311 will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026, and will return to regular operations on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.  However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at PGC311.com.
