Prince George's County Announces Holiday Closings for Native American Day 

Prince George's County government offices, with the exception of public safety agencies, will be closed on Monday, October 13, 2025, in observance of Native American Day.

 

LARGO, MD—On Monday, October 13, 2025, the following offices, services, and facilities will be closed or suspended.

Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill Open
Brown Station Road Public Convenience Center Open
Electronics Recycling Acceptance Site 
(No Longer Located at the Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill)
Items accepted at Brown Station Road Convenience Drop-off Center and mobile events; The next event is scheduled for October 25; see other dates and locations on the website.
Household Hazardous Waste Acceptance Site (No Longer Located at the Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill) Items are accepted at mobile events only. The next event is scheduled for October 25. The website has other dates and locations.

TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Prince George's County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T), will operate on Monday, October 13, 2025, except for Route P78, which operates only in downtown Upper Marlboro during peak periods when the Courthouse is open. Regular operations on Route P78 will resume on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. In addition, the County's Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services, including dialysis transportation, will not operate on Monday, October 13, 2025. Regular operations of the Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services will resume on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.  

The Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) will be closed on Monday, October 13, 2025. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

Also, PGC311 will be closed on Monday, October 13, 2025, and will resume regular operations on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at PGC311.com.
