Prince George’s County Announces Holiday Closings for Labor Day

LARGO, MD – The following offices, services, and facilities will be closed or suspended on Monday, September 1, 2025:

Curbside Trash Collection in County-Contracted Areas Collections slide one day through the week and start Wednesday, September 3 and end Saturday, September 6. 
Residential Food Scraps and Yard Trim Collection Collections are on a slide schedule and will occur Tuesday, September 2.

TheBus, a public transit service operated by the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T), will not operate on Monday, September 1, 2025. Regular operations of TheBus will resume on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. In addition, the County’s Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services, including dialysis transportation, will not operate on Monday, September 1, 2025. Regular operations of the Call-A-Bus and PGC Link services will resume on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.  

The Prince George’s County Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025. Regular business hours resume on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Additionally, PGC311 will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025, and will resume regular operations on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. However, residents can still submit service/issue requests at PGC311.com.
