Voter Registration Distributors

Voter Registration Distributors (VRDs) are individuals who provide opportunities for others to register to vote, distribute voter registration applications at outreach events, assist with completing registration forms, and return completed applications to the local Board of Elections by the designated deadline.

To qualify as a VRD, applicants must be at least 18 years old, complete training on how to fill out Maryland's Voter Registration Application and carry out their responsibilities in a non-partisan manner. At the conclusion of training, participants will sign an affidavit and receive a VRD card. This card expires December 31st following a general election, at which point re-certification is required.

Prince George’s County Board of Elections (PGCBOE) offers training virtually only.  Sessions are held at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. twice monthly.  Pickup appointments should be scheduled by phone or email, with pickup hours available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.  All sessions and pickups require appointments.

Please note: Walk-ins are not permitted.  An in-person appointment must be scheduled within 30 days of your training date to receive the VRD card.  Otherwise, retraining will be necessary.

Groups that are interested in scheduling training outside the regular scheduled work hours can contact the office via email at boevrvtraining@co.pg.md.us.

To serve as a VRD, please register for training.
