Renewal Application Process

Important Message

Renewal Applications are due in the Board of License Commissioner's Office by the dates listed below. 

  • Class A Renewal Applications due on or before March 1st.
  • Class B Renewal Applications are due on or before April 1st.
  • Class C and D Renewal Applications are due on or before May 1st

Renewal Updates

Renewal applications and required documents must be submitted in our office no later than 3:00 pm. Please review the three (3) additional documents that are now required for submission of your renewal application (if applicable).

  • Fire Capacity Certificate
  • Environmental and Food Health Permit
  • Worker's Compensation Exemption Notice: If your establishment does not employ any workers and is a family-owned business, submission of the BOLC Exempt Workers’ Compensation Form is required.
  • If your home address has changed, a letter must be submitted to the BOLC for approval by the Board along with a new Personal Information Sheet. Tax checks will be conducted on the new home address. (Refer to item #10) 

Required Documents

All applications are required to be accompanied by the following:

  •  Affidavits for each licensee and stockholder,
  • Appropriate fee
  • Certificate of Good Standing
  • Trader's License
  • Worker's Compensation Certificate
  • Current unexpired copy of the Alcohol Awareness Certificate
  • Fire Capacity Certificate
  • Environmental and Food Health Permit
  • Copy of your Lease or Deed
  • Tax Release Letter - Pursuant to the Alcoholic Beverage Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland the Board will not accept a renewal application unless all City, County and State Taxes are current.

Class C Renewal Application must be accompanied by a Class C Substitution of Corporate Officer Form if there has been a change in officers. For the 2026-2027 renewal period, if there is a change in officers, the Board of License Commissioners requires all Class C Veteran or Fraternal Organization licensees to submit a criminal history check for the new officer(s). This requirement applies only if a criminal history check is not already on file with our office.

Request for an Extension

In order to request for an extension from the Board, a certified check, cashier's check or money order in the amount of $1,000 payable to Prince George's County and a letter request for an extension must be received in our office on or before the Class License Renewal Deadline.
