Potholes
Pothole Repairs
The Department of Public Works and Transportation performs pothole repairs on all County-maintained roadways. Roads that are identified by a route number (example MD Route 214, MD Route 450, MD Route 210, U.S. 1 to name a few) are the responsibility of the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (SHA). Call 301-952-0555 to report a pothole to SHA.
To report a pothole on a County-maintained road, please call 311 (3-1-1) or 301-883-4748 or online at PGC311.com.
Elevating Our Roadways
Under the leadership of County Executive Aisha N. Braveboy, Beautification and Economic Development stand as core pillars of her administration—both of which are directly influenced by the condition of our roadways. To address this, the County has launched the Report, Repair, Restore campaign, a focused effort to tackle potholes and improve driving conditions across our communities.
Pothole Season Is Here: Report. Repair. Restore.
To date, more than 2,584 potholes have been repaired—and counting. The Department of Public Works and Transportation is working seven days a week, with dedicated crews addressing potholes to enhance safety, support economic vitality, and maintain the overall appearance of our neighborhoods. This ongoing effort reflects the County’s strong commitment to delivering reliable, responsive service to residents.
