Capital Bikeshare is an affordable and sustainable public bikeshare system that provides residents, employees and visitors access to over 5,000 pedal bicycles and eBikes at 800+ bikeshare docking stations in 8 jurisdictions across the Washington, DC Metropolitan region. There are 8 member jurisdictions that own and operate Capital Bikeshare. They are Prince George’s County and Montgomery County in Maryland; Washington, DC; and Fairfax City, Fairfax County, Falls Church, Arlington, and Alexandria in Virginia. Prince George’s County owns and operates 35 of the 800+ bikeshare docking stations in the Capital Bikeshare System.
