A New Era of Transportation for Prince George's County

Prince George’s County is entering a new era of transportation with GoPGC, the County’s newly reimagined transit system serving residents and communities across Prince George’s County.

The Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) is dedicated to maintaining and elevating nearly 2,000 miles of County roadways, spanning both rural and urban areas, while continuing to expand public transportation options. This year, DPW&T added Sunday service across designated fixed bus routes, extending service to seven days a week in certain areas.

No services are provided during major holidays (New Year's Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day). GoPGC and +Plus services are accessible and accept the use of portable oxygen, respirators, and concentrators.

GoPGC also reflects the County’s commitment to building a more sustainable transportation network. DPW&T is working toward transitioning nearly 70% of its transit fleet to zero-emission vehicles by 2035, with the goal of achieving a fully electric fleet by 2040.
