Clean & Green: Elevate the Scene Spring Image 2

Prince George’s County Residents,

After the most challenging winter snow and ice storm to hit our region in decades, it’s wonderful to anticipate spring which is right around the corner. In Prince George’s County, I look forward to spring and the renewed sense of energy it brings along with the excitement of new opportunities to elevate communities countywide.

Keeping Prince George’s County clean and welcoming remains a top priority for County government, and your support has made a real difference. Last year we launched the first Countywide Litter and Beautification Blitz, introduced Project Elevate and mobilized County agencies, residents, and partners to take action in neighborhoods across the County. We followed those efforts with Strike Force 3-1-1, the initiative I introduced to tackle long-standing, unanswered service requests. Strike Force 3-1-1 has been a huge success and has resulted in game-changing improvements all over the county in communities where they were most needed.

Now, as we move into spring – the season of renewal, I am inviting you to join the second Countywide Beautification Event under my administration – a continued commitment to a clean and beautiful Prince George’s County and to elevating our shared spaces.

Join us for Clean and Green: Elevate the Scene – Spring!

Saturday, April 25, 2026

8:00 a.m. – 12 Noon

Let’s step into spring by focusing together on restoring our neighborhoods after winter by spreading mulch, removing litter, and addressing illegal dumping. Spring is the perfect time to roll up our sleeves and set the tone for the months ahead by investing again in the places where we live, work, worship, and come together.

The Department of Public Works and Transportation will provide all necessary supplies, including:

  • Mulch

  • Gloves

  • Garbage Bags

  • Safety Vests

  • Litter Grabbers

  • Litter Track Training

You can volunteer individually, bring a friend of family member, or organize a group.

Registration deadline: Monday, April 20, 2026

This is more than a cleanup – it’s a continuation of our shared commitment to keeping our county clean and beautiful, and showcasing community pride by making our Prince George’s County the cleanest, greenest community in Maryland.

I look forward to working alongside you this spring. Thank you for helping us Elevate Prince George’s County!

Sincerely,

Aisha N. Braveboy

Prince George's County Executive
