Community Meetings

DPW&T enjoys being out in the community. Every year, DPW&T participates in scores of H.O.A., civic association, and community meetings, sharing information about the Department and answering citizens’ questions.

In order for us to accommodate as many meeting requests as we can, we ask that you complete our Community Meeting Speaker Request Form, and submit it at least two weeks prior to the meeting date to the Department's Public Information Officer, Ms. Paulette Jones, or Community Liaison, Ms. Nia Brown.

Community Partners' Program

Whether you live, work or worship in the County, you can help to build a better communities in Prince George's County by becoming a member of the innovative and successful Community Partners' Program.

The Community Partners' Program is a catalyst for citizens, residents, homeowners, and community, faith based, fraternal and business leaders, as well as groups such as the Scouts, to share input, address concerns, identify ways to improve departmental services and help to enhance the beauty of the County. Community partners meet with senior staff from DPW&T, the Department of the Environment, DPIE and other agencies, as well as elected officials, on a quarterly basis to discuss a myriad of topics affecting communities and the County. This Program has become one of the County's most successful community outreach activites.
