New Routes, Names, and Schedules

On Monday, June 30, Prince George’s County TheBus will launch its redesigned bus network as part of the region’s Better Bus initiative. All current TheBus routes will be eliminated following the end of service on Saturday, June 28, and new routes—with new names, routings, frequencies, and schedules—begin on Monday, June 30.

Welcome to Prince George’s County Transit System - known as TheBus!

Prince George's County operates TheBus, a County bus service, to meet local transportation needs of its residents and visitors. TheBus' fixed route system consists of 24 routes that cover more than 10,000 miles throughout the County. TheBus operates Monday through Saturday. No services are provided during major holidays (New Year's Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day).

All TheBus and Call-A-Bus services are accessible and accept use of portable oxygen, respirators, and concentrators.
