The Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for Owners and Developers during the 2026 funding round for housing and community development is now open. Please review the NOFA 2026 notice.
The schedule for the 2026 NOFA is:
NOFA posted to the web: January 26, 2026
Pre-proposal conference: February 11, 2026
Second Pre-proposal conference: April 2, 2026
Application submission deadline: April 30, 2026
Applicants notified of decisions: June 1, 2026
The purpose of the pre-proposal conference is to present an overview of the NOFA process, review the requirements for working with funding sources and to answer questions. This second pre-proposal conference is optional for those who attended the first pre-proposal conference. No additional or new information is expected. Please be advised that questions must be limited to the NOFA requirements.

DHCD will consider applications outside of the NOFA timeframe for priority, time-sensitive projects that have secured necessary financing and are in a position to progress towards closing. To be considered, please request a pre-application meeting with DHCD to discuss the project details, available resources, application process, legislative requirements, and schedule. Supplier Diversity and Equity Plan:
County support requires affordable housing developers to comply with the terms of the County’s Diversity and Equity Policy for Publicly Subsidized Development Projects. Please refer to the links below for the DHCD Supplier Diversity and Equity (SDE) Plan as well the SDE Reporting Template. These forms are also available in Word and Excel format upon request.
