Post-Trial Unit

Overview

The Post-Trial Unit is tasked with representing the State in most legal proceedings following a conviction. Such proceedings include Violations of Probation, Motions for Reconsideration of Sentence, Applications for Review of Sentence by a Three Judge Panel, Motions for Drug Treatment pursuant to Health General Article Section 8-507, Petitions for Writ of Actual Innocence, Petitions for Writ of Error Coram Nobis, other Habeas Petitions, and Petitions for Post-Conviction Relief.

The Post-Trial Unit also coordinates the State’s Attorney’s Office response to Public Information Act requests. If you have a public information act request, please send an email to MPIA-SAO@co.pg.md.us
