Records Management Division

The Records Management Division (RMD) is responsible for receiving, storing, releasing, and disposing of departmental records in accordance with the approved records retention schedule.

The division is comprised of the:
•    A civilian Manager/Custodian of Records - Ms. Alberta Holden
•    Departmental Mail Services
•    Intake Unit
•    Legal Unit (Expungements & Subpoenas)
•    Maryland Public Information Act (MPIA) Open Records Unit
•    Teletype/NCIC Unit
•    Validations Unit

Our mission is to efficiently manage departmental records while providing timely and professional service to the public, law enforcement agencies, attorneys, and partner organizations. Staff work diligently to organize and fulfill requests; we often process requests for reports the same day or by the next business day.
