Psychological Services Division

The Psychological Services Division (PSD) is an internal service for Prince George’s County Police Department employees and their immediate family members. It is staffed with licensed mental health clinicians, sworn peer support personnel, chaplains, and Pete (the therapy dog). The PSD staff provides clinical care, on-scene and 24/7 crisis intervention, peer support, spiritual support, and psychological education to student and veteran officers. The purpose of PSD is to support employees through culturally competent trauma-informed care and assist in mitigating the effects of police work through integrative programs addressing mind and body wellness.
