Records Management Division

The Records Management Division receives, stores, releases, and disposes departmental records in accordance with the records retention schedule. The Records Management Division is comprised of the Intake Unit, Legal Unit, Teletype Unit, Validations, Departmental Mail Services, Maryland Public Information Act Unit, and the Civilian Director, as the Custodian of Records. The main mission for the Records Management Division is to receive, store, release and dispose of departmental records in accordance with the records retention schedule. The Records Management Division staff works tirelessly to store, organize, and fulfill requests in a timely manner, often on the same day or the next business day.

On Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Records Management Division will be closing the location at 4923 43rd Ave., Hyattsville, Md. 20781, 

On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Records Management Division will reopen at their new location, 6420 Allentown Road, Camp Springs, Md. 20748 (rear of the building)

 The hours of operation will remain the same:

 Monday through Thursday (except holidays)

9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
