The Office of the State’s Attorney for Prince George’s County (SAO-PGC) is seeking qualified partners to help design and deliver a comprehensive program to reduce student truancy and chronic absenteeism.

Overview
We invite community-based organizations, service providers, and stakeholders with proven, evidence-based, and culturally responsive strategies to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). Selected partners will help build a coordinated framework of services that addresses both immediate barriers to attendance and the underlying causes of absenteeism for youth ages 12–18 in Prince George’s County.
Focus Areas
Proposals may address one or more of the following (including innovative approaches not listed below):
- Academic mentoring & peer support
- Family engagement & outreach
- Behavioral enrichment for students and parents
- Wraparound services, including workforce development and mental health support
- Culturally responsive interventions
- Technology solutions for attendance tracking and data analytics
- Re-engagement strategies for at-risk youth
Scope of Work
Respondents should demonstrate a track record of:
- Working effectively with at-risk youth and their families
- Collaborating with schools and community partners
- Delivering holistic, proactive approaches that measurably improve attendance
Funding Categories
Total anticipated funding up to $730,000 across three categories:
- Wraparound Services: $500,000
- Targeted Workshops: $190,000
- Transportation & Outreach: $40,000
SAO-PGC may fund multiple partners across categories based on need, capacity, and alignment with program goals.
Who Should Apply
- Nonprofit organizations, community-based organizations, coalitions, and qualified service providers with relevant experience and capacity to serve Prince George’s County youth (12–18).
- Organizations employing evidence-based and culturally responsive practices, with the ability to collect and report data on outcomes.
