Beautification

Prince George's County Executive Aisha N. Braveboy

County Executive Aisha N. Braveboy is deeply committed to ensuring Prince George’s County reflects the beauty, vibrancy, and diversity of its residents. That commitment begins with maintaining clean, safe, and well-kept neighborhoods that are free of excessive trash and debris.

To advance this vision, the Braveboy Administration launched Project Elevate on June 23, 2025—an initiative designed to support countywide revitalization and beautification efforts across Prince George’s County. Project Elevate is rooted in the belief that every community deserves to take pride in its surroundings and benefit from consistent, high-quality public maintenance.

Our County agencies—specifically the Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) and the Department of the Environment—work in close collaboration to lead these beautification initiatives. Together, they provide ongoing essential services such as residential street sweeping, litter and debris removal, mowing of public medians, trimming overgrown trees that obstruct traffic signage, and other critical maintenance efforts that keep our corridors clean, safe, and visually vibrant.

In addition, Strikeforce 311 was launched to strengthen government responsiveness and improve service delivery. At its inception, Strikeforce 311 completed a backlog of more than 20,000 outstanding PGC311 requests. This effort has significantly improved PGC311's system, resulting in faster response times, increased accountability, and enhanced coordination across agencies.

Together, the beautification foundational initiatives have enhanced the aesthetics, efficiency, and responsiveness of Prince George’s County government. These efforts reflect the Braveboy Administration’s ongoing commitment to building a cleaner, more connected, and more accountable County—one that truly reflects the pride, beauty, and excellence of its residents.
