County Executive Alsobrooks Announces New Round Of Grant Funding And 2nd Nonprofit Empowerment Symposium To Elevate And Uplift Local Nonprofits

LARGO, MD –Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks announced today that her office will begin accepting applications for the FY 2024 Community Partnership Grant (CPG) program on Thursday, October 5, 2023. Approximately $2.5 million in funding is available to eligible nonprofits through the CPG program. Local nonprofit organizations that provide community-based program initiatives to help foster the growth and development of people and communities in Prince George’s County are encouraged to apply.  

“Our vision is to grow pride and sustainability in our Prince George’s County community by improving the quality of life for our residents,” said Alsobrooks. “Nonprofits are such critical partners for our government, helping serve and support our residents. I’m proud that we have given out nearly $10 million in grants to local nonprofits through the CPG program since the start of our Administration, and we will continue to find new ways to partner with and support our nonprofits.” 

Any organization, institution, or association, incorporated as a nonprofit organization designated under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and providing services in Prince George’s County, is eligible to apply. The deadline for application submission is Friday, November 10, 2023, at 5:00 PM. Applications, FAQs, guidelines, and lists of past recipients are available at the Community Partnership Grant (CPG) program.

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Grants Management Unit will conduct an internal review of each application submission to ensure that applicants meet all outlined eligibility and documentation requirements. Additionally, the Executive Review Panel will fully evaluate all completed application submissions and present final award recommendations to the Office of the County Executive for final approval and funds disbursement. Applications will be date and time-stamped by OMB personnel upon receipt. Facsimile application submissions will NOT be accepted. Applications submitted after the deadline of November 10, 2023, at 5:00 PM will not be considered for review.

In addition, the County Executive will be hosting her 2nd Nonprofit Empowerment Symposium on Wednesday, November 1, from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM at the Prince George’s Community College Grand Theater, located at 301 Largo Road, Largo, Maryland 20774. The symposium is free and registration will open in October.
