County Executive Aisha Braveboy Joins Induction Ceremony for Maryland’s First High School Sorority
On March 13, 2026, County Executive Aisha Braveboy had the pleasure and honor of joining the induction ceremony for the ladies of ’THOZ Diamonds (Tau Eta Phi Zeta) — Maryland’s first high school sorority. The County Executive recognized Charles Herbert Flowers High School Assistant Principal and ’THOZ Diamonds founder, Keishia Thorpe, for her visionary leadership and commitment to supporting our young women along their journey towards adulthood and leadership, through sisterhood and service to others. This is a first-of-its-kind opportunity for personal growth and leadership development. We are excited to have this begin here at Charles Herbert Flowers High School.
As a sister and member of a sorority, Sigma Gamma Rho, County Executive Braveboy shared how special and fulfilling the bond of sisterhood is in life, noting how sisters have helped shape the woman she is today and how having a nurturing support system, like a sorority, will change your life for the better. Young women in Prince George’s will always be a top priority and valued group of residents for County Executive Braveboy.
With a vast career in public service, County Executive Braveboy is living women’s history as the second elected woman to the position of County Executive for Prince George’s County and the third of African descent. Many dynamic women lead the Braveboy Administration in key roles, such as Chief Administrative Officer, Maxene Bardwell, and Chief of Staff, LaTara Harris. In Prince George’s County, women are leading, elevating the County, and building a strong foundation for future development to pass the torch to rising leaders.
It is without a doubt the ’THOZ Diamonds ladies are destined for great things. Congratulations Tau Eta Phi Zeta on your sisterhood!
