PRESS RELEASE
The 68th Annual Washington International Horse Show returns to Prince George’s County for its Fifth Year
LARGO, MD — County Executive Aisha N. Braveboy proudly announces the return of the 68th Annual Washington International Horse Show (WIHS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization presented by MARS Equestrian, as it returns for its fifth consecutive year at The Show Place Arena at the Prince George’s Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, MD. This premier event will take place from Monday, October 19 through Sunday, October 25.
Originated in 1958, the WIHS is one of North America's most prestigious, competitive, and exciting equestrian competitions. As an International Equestrian Federation (FEI) World Cup Qualifier with the distinguished CSI5* rating, the show attracts the finest horses and riders from across the nation and around the world. Over seven days, WIHS will showcase elite jumpers, hunters, and equitation competitions, along with dynamic equestrian entertainment and a variety of community and charitable events.
WIHS continues to drive economic growth, success, and exposure for Prince George’s County, welcoming people from all over, gaining global exposure, and strengthening its status as the premier international sporting event. This year, WIHS will again partner with National Harbor as its official hospitality campus, offering enhanced experiences for attendees and strengthening regional tourism partnerships.
