Judith Sakyi Danso is a dynamic and forward-thinking executive leader with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of public sector leadership, public safety, strategic operations, and economic development. As Executive Director of the Revenue Authority of Prince George’s County, she leads the County’s quasi-governmental development and finance agency with a clear vision: to drive smart growth, strengthen public safety, and elevate community development through innovation, accountability, and strategic partnerships.

 

In her role, Mrs. Danso oversees agency operations, capital planning, revenue strategy, managed programs, asset management, and real estate initiatives that support the County’s evolving infrastructure and economic priorities. She works closely with the County Executive, County Council, Board of Directors, and private-sector partners to advance transformative projects that position Prince George’s County as a competitive and thriving economic hub.

 

Mrs. Danso brings a proven track record of managing complex organizations and delivering measurable results. She previously served as Chief of Staff and Assistant State’s Attorney in the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office, where she helped lead a 200+ person agency and managed a $27 million budget. Mrs. Danso’s oversight extended to strategic planning, communications, community affairs, and cross-agency initiatives — ensuring alignment between leadership vision and day-to-day execution. Her leadership helped drive operational excellence, strengthen community trust, and advance public safety outcomes.

 

She also served as Acting Director of the Prince George’s County Office of Human Rights, where she led civil rights enforcement, policy implementation, and community engagement efforts, ensuring equitable access to services and strengthening protections for residents.

 

Earlier in her career, Mrs. Danso founded and led a successful legal practice, representing clients in criminal defense, complex litigation and advising on contracts, compliance, and governance. She has also held roles in the federal government and private sector managing civil rights compliance and overseeing high-value contracts for major organizations.  

 

Across every role, Mrs. Danso is known for her ability to align vision with execution — bringing together government, private, and community stakeholders to deliver impactful, sustainable solutions. Her leadership is grounded in accountability, strategic innovation, and a deep commitment to public service.


She holds a Juris Doctor with honors from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Lincoln University. She is admitted to the Maryland Bar and to practice before federal courts.

 

As Executive Director, Mrs. Danso is committed to advancing the Revenue Authority’s renewed mission of “prioritizing public safety while elevating community development,” ensuring that every initiative drives value for residents, supports economic vitality, and strengthens the future of Prince George’s County.

 

Mrs. Danso was raised in Prince George’s County, and is married with two beautiful children.
