Corran Sawyer

Corran Sawyer serves as the Executive Assistant, Board Liaison, and Constituent Services Director for the Prince George’s County Revenue Authority. Born in Montgomery, Alabama, Corran grew up immersed in politics, which fostered a lifelong passion for advocacy, public service, and community engagement.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Communications from the University of Alabama before relocating to the DMV area. There, Corran built an extensive career in the hospitality industry, leading management teams for several successful restaurant concepts across Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia.

After transitioning from hospitality, Corran joined the Prince George’s County Council, where he served the constituents of District 8 as a Citizen Specialist and later as a Special Assistant, with a focus on strengthening the local business community. During this time, he worked with over 100 businesses, helping many grow—and assisting several new ventures from concept to launch.

Corran has also been actively involved in multiple Prince George’s County elections and remains deeply committed to the county’s long-term success and economic vitality. Outside of his work in the county, Corran has a strong appreciation for the arts, particularly music and theater.
