The Office of Human Rights hosts a craft night at the Hyattsville Branch library (6530 Adelphi Road). Come out to create your own collage, on the theme of the ideal future. What does that look like to you? What are the ideal futures we envision? Create something beautiful out of scraps with the Office of Human Rights and consider how we can – and often do – do that - create something beautiful out of scraps! - in our own lives, our own worlds. What does social justice mean in the arts and how (and why!) is art such a meaningful way to engage in social justice activism?
Newspapers, magazines, scissors, glue, and craft paper provided. Registration required as space is limited.
