The Office of Human Rights' Youth Leadership Academy will be in Upper Marlboro in October! For our third session, we will focus on misinformation. Can you create the best (worst?) misinformation campaign and get the most followers? How does this experience help us recognize mis- and disinformation when we are exposed to it? How do we determine what is a trustworthy and reputable source? This fun hour of game play helps youth better assess the information they're exposed to online.
All interested youth (12 to 18) are invited to drop-in at Upper Marlboro Branch Library (14630 Main Street) for any or all of the following YLA sessions:
- October 7 - introduction to social justice
- October 14 - human trafficking awareness
- October 21 - misinformation
- October 28 - the Social Justice Game
