Youth Leadership Academy - Conflict Transformation

The Office of Human Rights' Youth Leadership Academy (YLA) will be in Upper Marlboro for its second cohort of the Autumn! Meeting on the Wednesdays of October and the first Wednesday in November, YLA will cover a range of topics. We are so excited to welcome Little Friends for Peace for their first partnership event with us, leading YLA on conflict transformation. This is the first time since its inception in 2021 that YLA has included this component and we invite your young person to come join us!
All interested youth (12 to 18) are invited to drop-in at Upper Marlboro Branch Library (14630 Main Street) for any or all of the following YLA sessions:
- October 7 - introduction to social justice
- October 14 - human trafficking awareness
- October 21 - misinformation
- October 28 - conflict transformation with Little Friends for Peace
- November 4 - the Social Justice Game
