The Office of Human Rights' Youth Leadership Academy returns to Glenarden in September! This first session will be an introduction to social justice, highlighting social justice activists and organizations throughout the years, with youth given the opportunity to envision their own action plan for strengthening and equitizing communities.
All interested youth (12 to 18) are invited to drop-in at Glenarden Branch library (8724 Glenarden Parkway) for any or all of the following YLA sessions:
- September 1 - introduction to social justice
- September 8 - misinformation
- September 15 - human trafficking awareness
- September 22 - the Social Justice Game
