Solidarity Stories is a community book group hosted in partnership between the Office of Human Rights, the Mt. Rainier branch library, and Mixt Food Hall. Running on the third Tuesday of each month from 6:30-7:30, the book group is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and engage in conversation about different books, diverse themes, and takeaways that deepen our connection to one another.
This month, we are discussing the graphic novel "When Stars Are Scattered". Grab your copy from the library, give it a read, and come join us to talk about your takeaways, how reading this as a graphic novel may be different than experiencing it as a memoir or novel, and anything else the book brings up for you. If you haven't had the chance to read the book yet but would still like to join in please know you are welcome. Join us in the loft at Mixt Food Hall (3809 Rhode Island Ave.) on the third Tuesday of every month.
