Solidarity Stories is a community book group hosted in partnership between the Office of Human Rights, the Mt. Rainier branch library, and Mixt Food Hall. Running on the third Tuesday of each month from 6:30-7:30, the book group is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and engage in conversation about different books, diverse themes, and takeaways that deepen our connection to one another.
This month, Solidary Stories discusses Eric Klinenberg's "Palaces for the People: How Social Infrastructure Can Help Fight Inequality, Polarization, and the Decline of Civic Life".
Join us in the loft of Mixt Food Hall, at 3809 Rhode Island Avenue in Mount Rainier, for a conversation about the book, its themes, and our hopes for strengthened communities (and how this book might help us create them).
