This week, Lunch and Learn features Prince George’s County resident and global advocate, Matthias Seisay, in conversation about his experiences in Sierra Leone, his work enhancing lived experiences of former child soldiers, first generation college students, survivors of conflict, those experiencing health challenges, and more. Matthias’ life of service has ranged across countries and areas of support, and we will talk to him about his efforts and what it means to be a refugee, an immigrant, and a citizen of the world.

About our guest:
Matthias Seisay is a healthcare entrepreneur and educator based in the United States, where he lives with his wife and children. A fan of reggae music and a strong advocate for social justice, Matthias draws inspiration from Bantu Stephen (Steve) Biko (1946–1977), a symbol of resistance and equity.
Rooted in this inspiration, Matthias champions equitable access to healthcare and education. He has seen firsthand the transformative power of working with local leaders, organizations, and volunteers to create meaningful and lasting change. He firmly believes that partnerships and teamwork are vital to building stronger communities.
Matthias actively seeks to connect with individuals and institutions who share his vision of universal access to education and healthcare.
