Chanel Dickerson

Chanel Dickerson is honored to serve as Director of the Office of Community Relations, bringing a deep commitment to uplifting residents and fostering a community where everyone feels respected, valued, and empowered. Guided by the agency’s motto, “Connecting People, Connecting Resources,” she works to ensure equitable services that meet the diverse needs of Prince George’s County. With more than 30 years of experience in law enforcement and community relations with the Washington, DC Metropolitan Police Department, Director Dickerson brings both expertise and passion for building strong connections between residents and the resources that help them thrive. She holds a Bachelor’s in Police Science and a Master’s in Homeland Security from George Washington University, equipping her to navigate the complexities of public service and community engagement. In this role, Director Dickerson looks forward to strengthening bonds, creating impactful interactions, and advancing a more inclusive future for the county.
