Get Ready for the New School Year!
Join the Prince George's County Office of Community Relations for the Back to School Bash, a free community event designed to help students and families prepare for a successful school year. Open to students in Pre-K through Grade 12, this event offers school readiness resources, free services, entertainment, and fun activities for the entire family.

Location: Iverson Mall – Forman Mills Parking Lot
Temple Hills, MD
Admission: Free and open to the public
What to Expect
Families can take advantage of a variety of free resources and activities, including:
- Free haircuts and hair braiding (limited availability; first-come, first-served. Styles and services are limited, and hair must be washed before arrival.)
- Hygiene information and community resources
- Sneaker cleaning workshop
- Educational resources for students and parents, including tutoring, mentoring, and PGCPS family resources
- Fingerprinting and child ID kits
- Affirmation station
- Live performances and music
- Free vision and dental screenings for students (parent consent form required before services are provided)
- Arts and crafts
- Narcan training
- Roller skating
- Sweet treats and more
