Anthony D. Jones is an experienced attorney and public servant that has been practicing law for nearly 20 years. Prior to being appointed as Prince George’s County Attorney, he worked as General Counsel (Acting) and Deputy General Counsel for the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.  Anthony served as the Designated Agency Ethics Official, the Chief FOIA Officer and Government Accountability Office Liaison for the White House agency charged with leading the federal government’s fight against the opioid crisis. Anthony has extensive litigation experience having served as a trial attorney and legal counsel for the U.S. Department of Labor for over a decade.  He has litigated a variety of labor and employment law matters in federal district courts and administrative tribunals throughout the United States. Anthony is an expert in administrative law, government ethics, government accountability and audits and investigations.

Anthony earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Kentucky where he was also selected as a Harry S. Truman Scholar.  He graduated with a law degree from the University of Illinois.  Anthony and his family reside in Bowie.
