Waste Diversion and Recycling Awards 2025 Fillable Nomination Form

This is your opportunity to nominate individuals or groups of people for their achievements in advancing, practicing, and or promoting recycling, composting, and/or waste reduction.  The event is designed for you and the nominees to receive the recognition so well deserved.  We hope you will take the time to submit a nomination for the Waste Diversion and Recycling Awards. 

In honor of America Recycles Day/National Recycling Day on November 15 and the County’s continued efforts to promote recycling and waste diversion, Prince George’s County Department of the Environment (DoE), Resource Recovery Division (RRD) in partnership with Keep Prince George’s County Beautiful (KPGCB) present the annual Waste Diversion and Recycling Awards Ceremony.

DoE/RRD and KPGCB appreciate your continued effort and vigilance to optimize recycling and good solid waste practices. Your innovations are to be applauded and nominated for recognition. If you have created an activity or program or improved an existing program, please include the details in the nomination form below. This award will recognize Prince George’s County commercial businesses, non-profit organizations, schools, individuals, and other entities that have demonstrated exceptional achievements in recycling and waste diversion to advance the betterment of the environment.

Nomination Guidelines

  • Who is eligible? Any commercial business, nonprofit organization, public or private school, community organization and individual located in Prince George’s County is eligible for an award.
  • Any individual can self-nominate or submit a nomination on another’s behalf.
  • A 2025 nomination form MUST be submitted for all nominees, including all relevant and supporting documentation before midnight, Sunday, December 7, 2025.
  • Once completed, please send your nomination form and all supporting documentation to: RecyclingEvents@co.pg.md.us
  • All entries are reviewed by the Nomination Committee. Winners will be notified via email.
