Prince George's County Holds Its Annual Grand Slam for Economic Development

LARGO, MD – The Prince George’s County Office of Economic Development held its annual Grand Slam on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. The event, hosted by Deputy Chief Administrator Angie Rodgers and the County’s Economic Development cluster agencies, provided updates on high-profile transit-oriented development, Blue Line Corridor signature projects, and affordable housing development projects. This year's event also provided participants with information on upcoming procurement and joint development opportunities with Prince George's County.  

“Throughout our administration, we have remained committed to bringing quality businesses and amenities to our county, as well as providing meaningful employment opportunities for residents right in their own community,” Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks said. “We’ve secured $1 billion in investment for our Blue Line Corridor and everything we’re doing has an eye toward equity. Our annual Grand Slam helps inform the business community of the opportunities available in Prince George’s County.” 

This year’s Grand Slam webinar drew attendees from various sectors of the business community including local and regional real estate professionals, small businesses, and financial institutions. The event reflects Prince George’s County’s unwavering dedication to enhancing economic growth and development.
