Volunteer Services Office

The Volunteer Services Office plays a crucial role as the department liaison with each volunteer corporation in Prince George's County. Its primary function is to foster and strengthen the lines of communication between volunteer and career members and the Office of the Chief. The office diligently tracks and manages various projects and budgetary requests received from the Fire Commission on behalf of the volunteer corporations.  Additionally, it oversees numerous committees and work groups on topics of significant interest for volunteer members, who are also members of various professional, community, state, fire, and research organizations.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Volunteer corporation's administrative support
  • Coordination with the Fire Commission and the Prince George's County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association (PGCVFRA)
