Community Oriented Policing Services - COPS
Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) is a U.S. Department of Justice program designed to facilitate building trust and mutual respect between police and the communities that they serve. Through COPS initiatives officers are integrated into the community’s day-to-day on-goings by attending community meetings, county neighborhood initiatives, working with community members and other stakeholders. Together we work to resolve issues that affect the quality of life in the community. COPS collaborative efforts seek to resolve activities that impede safety, address community concerns, and implement solutions using various county resources.
