George’s County Hosts Fall 2017 ‘Clean Up, Green Up’ October 28, 2017
LARGO, MD – PrinceGeorge’s County invites community organizations, schools and businesses to join
us for the annual Countywide Fall ‘Clean Up, Green Up’ on Saturday, October 28,2017.
“‘Clean Up, Green Up’ is an opportunity
for residents to beautify their neighborhoods by coming together for a day ofcleaning, weeding, mulching and litter removal,” said Darrell B. Mobley,
Director of the Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T). “Thisevent provides residents, schools and businesses with an opportunity to partner
with Prince George’s County Government, the Neighborhood Design Center, KeepPrince George’s County Beautiful, Prince George’s County Public Schools and the
Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission to help keep PrinceGeorge’s County clean and green.”
The registration for ‘Clean Up, Green
Up’ closed on October 16, 2017. Forregistered participants, the Department of Public Works and Transportation will
provide plastic gloves, trash bags, safety vests, and a maximum of ten bags ofmulch and litter grabbers for the ‘Clean Up, Green Up.’ Although the registration deadline has
passed, we urge you to join in with your community for the Fall 2017 ‘Clean Up,Green Up’.
Students who participate in the ‘Clean
Up, Green Up’ will receive community service credits. Verification forms for community service areavailable at the schools.
