Kaiser Permanente Largo Medical Center and the Maryland Partnership for Prevention are offering free immunization clinics for PGCPS students throughout the month of August.
FREE SCHOOL IMMUNIZATIONS FOR PGCPS STUDENTS THIS WEEK AND THROUGHOUT AUGUST
UPPER MARLBORO, MD – With the 2017-2018 school year beginning next month, Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) reminds parents that Maryland State Law requires students enrolled in prekindergarten through grade 12 to receive age-appropriate immunizations before attending school.
Parents with children entering kindergarten or seventh grade should pay particularly close attention. Enrolling PGCPS kindergarteners will need two doses of Varicella (chickenpox vaccine). Students preparing to enter seventh grade need two vaccines — Tdap and Meningitis.
Families who have yet to complete vaccinations have several options.
Kaiser Permanente Largo Medical Center is offering a free immunization clinic for PGCPS students on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through August 4 at 1221 Mercantile Lane in Upper Marlboro.
The Maryland Partnership for Prevention is also hosting free summer immunization clinics as follows:
