[ARCHIVED] Prince George’s County Announces Offices Closures for Veterans Day Holiday

County government offices, with the exception of public safety agencies, will be closed on Friday, November 11, 2016 in observance of Veterans Day

Largo, MD – Prince George’s County government offices will be closed on Friday, November 11, 2016 in observance of Veterans Day, with the exception of the facilities and operations noted below:

The Department of the Environment (DoE)
Animal Services Facility
(3750 Brown Station Road) Closed

Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill Open

Brown Station Road Public
Convenience Center Open

Electronics Recycling Acceptance Site
(At the Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill) Open

Household Hazardous Waste Acceptance Site
(At the Brown Station Road Sanitary
Landfill) Open

Missouri Avenue Solid Waste Acceptance
and Recycling Center Open

Prince George’s County Materials Recycling Facility
(1000 Ritchie Road) Open

Prince George’s County Yard Waste
Composting Facility Open

Bulky Trash Collection

TheBus, under the administration of the Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPWT), will operate a regular route service on Friday, November 11, 2016 except for Route 51 which serves County government buildings. Regular service on Route 51 will resume on Monday, November 14, 2016. The County’s Call-A-Bus service, including senior transportation services, will not be operational on Friday, November 11, 2016. Regular operations will resume on Monday, November 14, 2016.

The Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement (DPIE) will also be closed on Friday, November 11, 2016. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, November 14, 2016.

In addition, Prince George’s CountyClick 3-1-1 will be closed on Friday, November 11, 2016 and will return to regular operations on Monday, November 14, 2016; 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. However, residents can still submit service/issue requests online at www.countyclick311.com/
